Samsung AI Forum 2025: the future of artificial intelligence according to Samsung and global experts

Calendar 9/16/2025

Samsung has invited the biggest names in the world of artificial intelligence to discuss for the ninth time. This year's AI Forum 2025 is taking place on September 15–16 and clearly shows the direction from the outset: AI is no longer a futuristic vision, but a tool that is set to change industry and everyday life.

Day one – semiconductors in the spotlight

The first part of the conference took place in Yongin, near one of Samsung's semiconductor factories. This is symbolic, as it was the chips and AI that were discussed the most. The main figure was Yoshua Bengio, a pioneer of deep learning, who highlighted the risks associated with current models. He presented the concept of Scientist AI, a model that aims not only to generate answers but, most importantly, to be based on facts. Less entertainment, more science – this summation captures the vision.

Alongside him were industry and university representatives, including Amit Gupta from Siemens and professors from KAIST and POSTECH. They all agreed on one thing: the production of chips is becoming so complex that AI is no longer a luxury but a necessity.

Day two – from generative to agent-based AI

The second part of the forum moved online and focused on what fuels the imagination daily – generative artificial intelligence and its next phase, namely agent-based models. Names such as Joseph E. Gonzalez from the University of Berkeley and Subbarao Kambhampati from Arizona State University appeared here. They discussed how AI can not only generate content but also learn, plan, and make decisions. There was also a vision of “AI in downtime,” meaning models that analyze and learn when the user currently doesn’t require anything from them.

There were also technology specifics from the Samsung Research team – from automatic dubbing in the original speaker’s voice to Document AI, which aims to convert documents into data ready for large language models.

How does Samsung see the future of AI?

Samsung clearly demonstrates that it sees AI not only in laboratories but in everyday devices – from smartphones to televisions. ChooseTV Forum 2025 was not an ordinary conference full of slogans. It is more of a preview of how artificial intelligence is meant to become a practical and safe tool, while simultaneously enhancing productivity and protecting against threats.
