AOC unveiled a new Agon Ultra AGP277UZD gaming monitor in China. The monitor features a 26.5-inch Tandem WOLED panel with 4K resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate. Thanks to a special Dual-Hz mode, the refresh rate can be increased to as much as 480 Hz.
Tandem WOLED, 4K and even 480 Hz
The new monitor uses an RGB Tandem WOLED panel with an RGB Stripe subpixel layout. It offers a native resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels at 240 Hz, but gamers can switch it to Full HD (1920 × 1080) to reach 480 Hz. This lets you choose between detailed visuals in AAA games and maximum smoothness in esports titles.
The manufacturer claims a 0.03 ms (GtG) response time, 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and 10-bit color depth. The monitor is also DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified and reaches a peak brightness of 1000 nits in HDR, but only over a small area of the screen. When displaying an image across the entire panel, the rated brightness is 250 nits.
THX Spatial Audio+ and a rich set of ports
AOC equipped the monitor with two 5 W speakers, supporting THX Spatial Audio+ with virtual 7.1.4 spatial sound. The feature requires an appropriate version of the G-Menu software.
On board you'll also find DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 (80 Gb/s), two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB-C with device charging up to 98 W. There's also a KVM switch, G-Sync Compatible support, and a user presence sensor that helps reduce the risk of OLED burn-in.
When will it be released in Poland?
The AOC AGP277UZD has already appeared on the manufacturer's Chinese website, but its price and release date have not yet been disclosed. It's also unclear whether the monitor will be released in Europe.
