LG is expanding its Gallery+ service with a new collection of digital artworks. This time the manufacturer has focused on Korean cultural heritage, offering 21 works inspired by the royal Joseon dynasty. That way the TV can function as a digital painting even when we are not watching movies or TV shows.
Korean Art on LG TV Screens
The new K-Heritage collection includes 21 digital works depicting historic palaces, royal paintings, ceramics, and traditional artifacts. Among them are reinterpretations of the painting Sun, Moon and Five Peaks and animated views of Gyeongbokgung Palace.
The materials were created in collaboration with the companies WIPCO, HEDIT, and ELFACTORY. This is the first installment of a larger project in which LG plans to showcase the art and heritage of different regions around the world.
Over 5,000 works in LG Gallery+
The LG Gallery+ service already offers more than 5,000 works, covering classical paintings, contemporary art, game illustrations and nature photography. LG works with, among others, London's National Gallery, New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Saatchi Art platform.
Gallery+ is a subscription service available on compatible TVs with webOS 25 or later, and also on selected older devices after an update.
It is worth noting, however, that Poland is not currently on the official list of countries supported by the premium version of LG Gallery+. It is not known when the service will be made available to Polish users.
