65-inch TVs – Test Rankings

Available screen sizes: 48”, 55”, 65”, 77”

Technology: QD-OLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

The Samsung S95H is in almost every respect a continuation of the S95F. During testing we often felt like we were watching the same television. But... is that a bad thing? Not necessarily, because its predecessor set the bar very high. We still get a phenomenal picture and one of the best televisions we tested in 2026. HDR has enormous impact, and the colours and blacks mean a good film can really...

Available screen sizes: 48”, 55”, 65”, 77”, 83”

Technology: WRGB OLED

Brand: SONY

Verdict:

The BRAVIA 6 can provide a lot of viewing pleasure, especially in the evening when the strengths of the OLED panel are most apparent. Deep blacks, good contrast and natural colours after calibration mean that, with the right material, its picture is easy to appreciate. It also performs well with a console: it delivers smooth motion and responds quickly to controller inputs. It's pleasing to see fo...

Available screen sizes: 50”, 55”, 65”

Technology: LCD VA, White LED

Brand: KIANO

Verdict:

Kiano Elegance is primarily an option for people who want to spend as little as possible on a TV while still having convenient access to popular apps. The use of Tizen is a big plus here, because you get a system well known from Samsungs and you do not have to immediately buy a streaming stick to watch films or series. At a low enough price this could be a sufficient reason to consider this model....

Available screen sizes: 55”, 65”

Technology: WRGB OLED

Brand: PHILIPS

Verdict:

The Philips OLED761 shows that the brand’s entry-level OLED can be a very solid choice for watching films. It performs best in the evening, when perfect blacks and striking HDR let you appreciate the strengths of the panel. After calibration, very accurate colours add to that, so it’s hard to fault the picture itself for normal viewing. It doesn’t always handle the brightest highlights as well in ...

Available screen sizes: 55”, 65”, 75”, 85”, 98”

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

Is it worth buying the TCL A400U? Yes, because it’s one of those TVs where paying extra for a higher series doesn’t always make sense. In films you get what you normally expect from a good TV: very good blacks, a strong HDR effect and a natural picture, especially after calibration. Brightness won’t be lacking during the day either, although because of the glossy panel it’s better not to position ...

Technology: LCD VA, PFS LED

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

TCL P7L is a successful budget television that shows you can get more than just a screen for basic viewing for a modest sum. It does not match pricier Mini LED or OLED models, but in its class it has a lot to offer. The VA panel delivers decent blacks and contrast, so during an evening session the picture does not look as flat as on many cheap IPS models. After calibration the colours are also goo...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: HISENSE

Verdict:

Hisense U7S is the latest iteration of the U7 series, whose biggest advantage remains its price-to-quality ratio. You get a Mini LED TV with local dimming, which really improves black levels and gives the picture depth for evening viewing. During the day, the generous brightness headroom is useful, so you don't have to immediately cover the windows. It's not a device without compromises, but as an...

Available screen sizes: 43”, 50”, 55”, 65”, 75”

Technology: LCD VA, PFS LED

Brand: PHILIPS

Verdict:

The idea behind The One has hardly changed over the years and with the Philips PQS9001 this is both a strength and its biggest drawback. You still get a versatile mid-range television whose main distinguishing feature is Ambilight. The light that follows the picture can change the atmosphere of an evening viewing and for many people will be the main reason to buy it. It's easy to see why: once you...

Available screen sizes: 55”, 65”

Technology: LCD VA, QLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

Samsung The Frame 2026 is still a TV aimed at a fairly specific type of buyer. If your main priority is having a screen that looks good in your interior, hangs almost flush against the wall, and doesn’t simply turn into a large black rectangle when switched off, there are very few TVs on the market that execute this idea quite as well. The matte screen, interchangeable bezels, external One Connect...

Available screen sizes: 43”, 50”, 55”, 65”, 75”

Technology: LCD IPS, White LED

Brand: SONY

Verdict:

The Sony Bravia 2 II is a television that performs best in simple, everyday use. And we suspect many people will choose it mainly because of Google TV. The system provides access to a huge number of apps and streaming services, and it also includes Chromecast, AirPlay and convenient voice search. The set itself may not run as quickly as more expensive Sony models, but in terms of features there is...
