100-inch TVs – Test Rankings

Available screen sizes: 55”, 65”, 75”, 85”, 98”

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

Is it worth buying the TCL A400U? Yes, because it’s one of those TVs where paying extra for a higher series doesn’t always make sense. In films you get what you normally expect from a good TV: very good blacks, a strong HDR effect and a natural picture, especially after calibration. Brightness won’t be lacking during the day either, although because of the glossy panel it’s better not to position ...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: HISENSE

Verdict:

Hisense U7S is the latest iteration of the U7 series, whose biggest advantage remains its price-to-quality ratio. You get a Mini LED TV with local dimming, which really improves black levels and gives the picture depth for evening viewing. During the day, the generous brightness headroom is useful, so you don't have to immediately cover the windows. It's not a device without compromises, but as an...

Technology: LCD VA, PFS LED

Brand: SONY

Verdict:

The Sony Bravia 3 II is a TV that quickly reveals the idea the manufacturer had for this model. It's meant above all to be a sensible Bravia for gaming, and in that respect the changes are substantial. After all, Sony has fixed one of the biggest annoyances of its TVs, the presence of only two full-featured HDMI 2.1 ports. Here there are four, and that alone makes the Bravia 3 II a much more conve...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED RGB

Brand: HISENSE

Verdict:

Hisense UR8S is above all a very versatile high-end television that, in most uses, simply performs well or very well. It is not a model aimed solely at cinema, gaming or watching in a bright living room. Its greatest advantage is that it can combine all those things in a single set and it does not have any one clearly weak point. In terms of picture the UR8S has a lot to offer. Contrast is high, H...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED RGB

Brand: SONY

Verdict:

The Sony Bravia 7 II is a TV that shows RGB Mini-LED doesn't have to be reserved just for the wealthiest customers. Although in some areas it's clearly positioned below the Bravia 9 II, in everyday use it doesn't feel like a severely stripped-down model. What really makes the difference is the combination of very good black levels, high brightness and Sony's excellent algorithms. As a result the p...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: XIAOMI

Verdict:

In its 85- and 98-inch sizes, the Xiaomi S Mini 2026 is a television that can be recommended with far more confidence than its smaller variants. Very good contrast, around 1000 nits of brightness and Dolby Vision support mean HDR films look really good, and the 144 Hz panel gives it a completely different set of possibilities for sport and gaming. If someone is looking for a large Mini LED and is ...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED RGB + PFS

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

The TCL RM7L is a TV that can't be fairly assessed by measurements and charts alone. Although it isn't uncompromising kit, it more than holds its own in everyday use. It delivers a bright, dynamic and richly saturated picture, which makes it great for HDR content, gaming and fast-paced films. The RM7L doesn't chase perfect "reference-level" accuracy. Instead, it serves up an image that simply plea...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

TCL A400 Pro is one of the most interesting lifestyle TVs we’ve tested so far. Not because it turns the whole idea of the “TV as a picture” on its head. In that respect it does roughly what the competition does: it’s meant to look good, blend into the room and not be just another black slab in the living room. Its real strength lies elsewhere: in picture quality. This is the first TV of this kind ...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED QLED

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

TCL X11L is, without a doubt, a powerful showcase of the manufacturer's capabilities and a TV that impresses in many areas. It’s clear the engineers focused on what matters most: maximum brightness, blacks and contrast. The new quantum dots with an SQD filter do such a job that colour saturation is hardly any different from the top new RGB panels. And what about the blacks? The X11L can easily be ...

Technology: WRGB OLED, WRGB TANDEM OLED

Brand: LG

Verdict:

Without a doubt, the LG G6 is an outstanding television in many respects. Thanks to the new second-generation Tandem OLED panel, it does something that no other screen with a glossy coating on the market has been able to achieve – it superbly suppresses light reflections while maintaining perfect, unblemished picture quality. When we add to this its record brightness and the unique properties of t...
