Xbox may be preparing a new, cheaper way to access its subscription. According to leaks, Xbox Game Pass is set to be linked with Discord, allowing some users to take advantage of a more budget-friendly version of the service. This is another step towards greater flexibility, which Microsoft has been talking about for some time.

Leaks suggest that Discord Nitro users may gain access to the so-called Game Pass Starter Edition. This package would offer over 50 games, limited access to cloud gaming, and additional benefits, such as earning points in the Xbox rewards system. This marks a clear shift in strategy, as instead of adding Discord bonuses to Game Pass, Microsoft is going the other way and offering its service to Discord users in a simplified form. This allows more people to try out the game library without having to pay for the full subscription.
Microsoft Changes Its Approach
This move fits well with the company's recent decisions, such as the price reduction of Game Pass Ultimate. Microsoft is clearly looking for new ways to attract gamers and increase the accessibility of its service.
