TCL CSOT has announced the DTC 2026 conference, which will take place on 13 November in Wuhan, China. The manufacturer intends to showcase its latest advances in printed OLED display technology, solutions from the APEX family and applications of artificial intelligence. Particular attention is drawn to the development of IJP OLED panels, which could in future change the way monitors and other displays are manufactured.
Printed OLEDs edging closer to mass production
One of the event's key topics will be IJP OLED (Inkjet Printing OLED) technology. Unlike traditional manufacturing methods, it uses inkjet printing to deposit organic light-emitting materials. This approach allows more efficient use of materials, which could lead to lower display manufacturing costs.
TCL CSOT has been developing this technology for more than a decade and is gradually preparing it for larger-scale production. The company recently began installing equipment at its t8 plant in Guangzhou. The facility is intended primarily to produce panels for monitors, laptops and tablets, with mass production planned to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027.
Not just OLED. TCL is also focusing on AI
During the conference the manufacturer will also present solutions from the APEX platform, concentrating on image quality, eye comfort and new display designs. An important element of the event will also be applications of artificial intelligence in screen development and in how users interact with devices.
DTC 2026 may therefore show the direction TCL intends to take with its display technologies. However, detailed information about the new solutions will have to wait until 13 November. The manufacturer has not yet announced specific models or launch dates.
