Philips has revealed new details of the Evnia 27M2D5901A monitor, which combines an extremely high 5K resolution with gaming refresh rates. The device offers two operating modes: 5K at up to 180 Hz or WQHD at up to 350 Hz. It also features Ambiglow backlighting, DisplayPort 2.1 and a comprehensive set of ports.
5K for work, 350 Hz for gaming
The new Philips Evnia uses a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a native resolution of 5120 × 2880 pixels. The standard refresh rate is 165 Hz, but it can be overclocked to 180 Hz.
Thanks to Dual Mode, the monitor can switch to WQHD resolution (2560 × 1440), increasing the refresh rate to 330 Hz, and when overclocked even 350 Hz. This is an interesting solution for people who work with graphics during the day but play fast-paced esports titles in the evening.
The manufacturer also claims 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space, 95% Adobe RGB, a 1 ms (GtG) response time and brightness up to 500 nits. The monitor has DisplayHDR 400 certification, so you should not expect HDR effects comparable to OLEDs or advanced Mini LED displays.
Ambiglow, USB-C 96 W and KVM switch
Philips has equipped the monitor with three-sided Ambiglow lighting that adapts the colours of the light behind the screen to the image on the screen.
The monitor offers DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB-C ports (including one with up to 96 W charging), a USB hub and a KVM switch. There are also two 5 W speakers and an adjustable stand with Pivot function.
Price and availability. What about Poland?
Philips has already published the German product page, but has not yet confirmed when sales will begin in Poland.
During an earlier presentation a European price of around €799 and a July 2026 launch were announced, but that date has passed. So far there is no confirmed Polish price or availability date.
