During this year's Super Bowl final, Illumination Studios officially presented to the world a new chapter in the adventures of the beloved yellow troublemakers. The film titled "Minions & Monsters" has received its first, humour-filled trailer, heralding the most outrageous journey in the history of the series.
The action takes us to Hollywood of the 1920s. Instead of looking for a new villain to serve, the Minions decide to... become movie stars themselves and make their own film about monsters. As one might expect, their plan quickly spirals out of control...
The script was written by Brian Lynch, responsible for the successes of the first part of 'Minions', and at the helm of the project is the veteran of the series, Pierre Coffin, who not only directs but traditionally lends his voice to all the Minions.
When is the premiere of the new Minions?
“Minions & Monsters” (which is actually the third part of the spin-off about the Minions) is expected to hit cinemas on 1 July 2026. It seems that the yellow creatures will once again dominate the summer cinema season.
