Following a plane crash, a group of survivors must endure in the wilderness, where the threats come not only from the weather conditions but also from wolves. This is not just an action film; it is more of a psychological struggle for life and the meaning of survival.
The Shallows (2016)
A minimalist but very effective thriller featuring Blake Lively. The protagonist becomes trapped on a rock several dozen metres from the shore, while a shark prowls in the water. The film relies on tension, a simple idea, and excellent execution, making it perfect for a quick, intense viewing experience.
Frozen (2010)
Not to be confused with the animation, this is a brutal survival story about a group of friends trapped on a ski lift high above the ground. The freeze, the height, and the lack of help mean that every decision could be the last. A simple film, but very effective in building tension.
