In practice, this means that users no longer have to switch between different apps. Individuals using the Premium version will gain access to full workouts from Peloton, ad-free and with the option to download them for offline use. This is a significant change, as Peloton has so far been rather a closed ecosystem. Additionally, workouts will be available in several languages, and users will be able to access them on various devices, from smartphones to televisions and smart speakers.
Spotify states that over 70% of users utilise the app during workouts, so the development of this category seems natural. The platform wants to leverage this trend and transform into a place that not only delivers music but also supports daily habits and lifestyle.
