Samsung Electronics has once again confirmed its position as a global leader in technology by receiving numerous CES® 2026 Innovation Awards presented by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). The company was recognised for its innovative solutions in the fields of mobile, home appliances, displays, and semiconductors that are redefining the boundaries of everyday technology.
Samsung presented a wide portfolio of products, many of which have been recognised as groundbreaking. Among the winners of the Best of Innovation were:
S3SSE2A – the world's first security chip with built-in Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), resistant to future threats posed by quantum computers. It protects data directly at the hardware level and meets strict NIST standards.
Galaxy XR1 – the first headset created on the Android XR platform in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm, which opens a new era of spatial experience in augmented reality.
Galaxy Z Fold7 – the thinnest and lightest foldable smartphone from the brand, combining excellent design with AI capabilities.
Galaxy Watch8 – a new level of design and health analysis, including features like Running Coach, Bedtime Guidance, and Antioxidant Index.
PM9E1 M.2 22×42 – the world's smallest SSD PCIe Gen5 for AI computers, offering up to 4 TB of capacity.
Detachable AutoSSD – a modular next-generation data storage device for autonomous vehicles.
LPDDR6 – ultra-fast next-generation mobile memory designed for performance and energy efficiency.
ISOCELL HP5 – the world's smallest 200 MP sensor capable of recording in 8K.
T7 Resurrected PSSD – an external SSD made from 100% recycled aluminium, heralding a new chapter in sustainable electronics.
Samsung emphasises that its goal is to create an ecosystem of smart, connected devices that seamlessly integrate into the user’s life – from home to mobility and entertainment.
LG: transparency, intelligence, and the style of the future
LG Electronics is also returning from CES 2026 with a host of awards, including two titles for Best of Innovation. This is further evidence that the brand is consistently developing the concept of "smart life solutions" – technologies that make everyday life simpler, smarter, and more aesthetically pleasing. The star of this year's LG presentation is the LG SIGNATURE OLED T – the world's first wireless and transparent OLED television with a 77-inch diagonal. The device has been awarded the title of Best of Innovation in the Imaging category, and its innovative design combines minimalism with stunning 4K picture quality.
LG has also received accolades for:
the webOS platform, awarded in the Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity categories – recognised for the second consecutive year as a secure and intelligent home entertainment hub,
a robotic cleaning station with steam cleaning functionality and built into furniture,
LG UltraFine evo 6K – the world's first 6K monitor with Thunderbolt™ 5 interface,
LG StanbyME 2 – a next-generation mobile lifestyle screen,
and the latest LCD televisions featuring Micro RGB technology.
As LG emphasises, the fourth consecutive Best of Innovation title for OLED televisions confirms not only technological superiority but also the company’s ongoing pursuit of redefining home aesthetics and user comfort.
CES 2026: Show of Strength from Korean Giants
This year's CES 2026 (6–9 January 2026, Las Vegas) promises to be a true clash of visions for the future between two South Korean leaders. Both Samsung and LG are proving that the direction of industry development today is defined by: AI, sustainable design, XR (Extended Reality) and new forms of interaction between humans and technology.
