LG will present the first 115-inch LCD television in 2026!

Calendar 1/7/2026

In 2026, LG will introduce its first-ever 115-inch LCD TV. The new QNED lineup will include miniLED and Micro RGB models, run webOS 26, and will not support HDMI 2.2 or Dolby Vision 2.

Alongside models described as "Micro RGB", which are also LCD televisions, LG will for the first time launch QNED series LCD televisions reaching sizes of up to 115 inches in 2026. Although LG is clearly focusing on OLED technology, the company does not intend to abandon its wide range of LCD televisions. The portfolio is set to include both very affordable models and high-end constructions.

It is worth reminding that LG has already showcased "Micro RGB" televisions, using RGB LED backlighting placed behind the LCD panel. As revealed by FlatpanelsHD, the manufacturer plans to release three lines of LCD televisions with RGB LED backlighting in 2026.

QNED up to 115 inches for the first time in LG's history

In 2026, LG will refresh its line of LCD QNED televisions, introducing the QNED90B, QNED85B, QNED82B and QNED80B series, and it is possible that more models will join later. The letter "B" in the name indicates the 2026 model year – for comparison, last year's LCD models ended with the letter "A".

The biggest novelty will be LG's first ever 115-inch LCD television, which will be included in the QNED90B series. This model will offer a 4K resolution, local dimming LED and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The panel is provided by TCL CSOT, which also produces the 115-inch LCD panels used by TCL and Samsung. Prices have not yet been disclosed, but it can be expected that the 115QNED90B model will be significantly more expensive than the current, more affordable 98–100 inch LCD televisions.

Smaller variants of the QNED90B will feature 144 Hz panels with miniLED backlighting and local dimming, although LG has not yet provided the number of zones. A refreshed 100-inch QNED85B will also be on offer.

No Dolby Vision 2 and HDMI 2.2

A new feature for 2026 will be Motion Booster, already known from TCL, Hisense, and Samsung televisions. It allows for the doubling of the refresh rate to as much as 330 Hz at a resolution of 1080p, primarily aimed at PC gamers. At the same time, LG has confirmed that televisions for 2026 will not support Dolby Vision 2 or HDMI 2.2. The webOS 26 system will receive a range of new features, which LG has already announced.

Additionally, the manufacturer is preparing a new line of LCD televisions inspired by the concept of Samsung The Frame – under the name Gallery TV.
