The long-awaited Japan has finally become a reality. IGN has just released material showcasing the "vibe" of the new map, and it must be said – Playground Games has done it again. Although the video is labelled "pre-release," the game looks so good that it's hard to believe it still requires any tweaks.
Return to the roots of the series
A curiosity that will please veterans is the new (old) progression system. The developers have confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will draw inspiration from the first part from 2012. We will begin our career not as a "superstar," but as an ordinary tourist. Our task will be to gradually build our reputation, earn festival wristbands, and rise up the hierarchy of drivers.
Release date and... PlayStation 5?!
The biggest surprise, apart from the location itself, is the target platforms. Microsoft has confirmed that the game will debut on 19 May 2026 on Xbox Series X|S and PC (also on Game Pass). However, that's not all – apparently, still in 2026, Forza Horizon 6 will officially launch on the PlayStation 5
