It seems that Apple has not yet said its final word when it comes to the Ultra series watches. In the latest beta of iOS 26, a graphic has been found that suggests something that may interest many of you – the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is coming, and with a slightly larger screen.
New size, new quality?
On platform X (formerly Twitter), user Aaron Perris posted information about a discovery from iOS 26 beta 5 – an image depicting a watch with a resolution of 422 x 514 pixels. In comparison: the current Apple Watch Ultra has a screen of 410 x 502 pixels. The change seems minor, but enough to provoke quite a bit of emotion.
There is currently no model of Apple Watch with such a resolution, which suggests that we are likely looking at the Ultra 3. And if that is confirmed, it is probably preparing for either a larger case or thinner bezels. Both options have their advantages – one may provide longer battery life, while the other offers a more compact silhouette without sacrificing workspace.
What else do we know about the Apple Watch Ultra 3?
The resolution change is just the tip of the iceberg. For some time now, there has been talk of several other features that Apple may add to this model:
Satellite Connectivity – in case you are out of mobile network range.
Blood Pressure Measurement – something that many of you have been waiting for years.
New LTPO3 OLED Display – with an even better always-on mode.
5G Modem – a futuristic step towards full mobility.
S10 or S11 SiP – new chip, new level of performance and energy efficiency.
Premiere? Just a moment
If Apple does not change its release cycle, the premiere of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will take place on 9 September – together with the iPhone 17. That is when we will learn all the details and, who knows, maybe a few more surprises.
