3on3 Freestyle introduces a new Career Mode, which completely changes the way players learn and develop their skills. Instead of jumping straight into PvP competition, we are given a full-fledged PvE experience, where players can calmly grasp the mechanics, strategies, and pace of the game. This is a significant change, especially for new players who may have previously felt overwhelmed by the fast-paced and demanding online gameplay.
Career Mode introduces character progression and roguelike elements that enhance replayability
The new mode is based on progression of a specific character, which means you develop your player by advancing through stages of increasing difficulty. Each character has its own development paths and access to unique challenges, and as you progress, you unlock harder levels and better rewards. In addition, roguelike elements are included where before each stage, you select random bonuses that affect your play style and stay with you throughout the series of challenges. This makes each gameplay experience look slightly different and requires a more strategic approach, rather than repeating the same patterns.
Solo mode helps prepare for PvP but does not disrupt the balance of online gameplay
The most important thing, however, is that Career Mode works as a safe learning environment, without affecting the balance of PvP. You can develop your character, test builds, and experiment with settings without worrying that you will "break" something in ranked modes. At the same time, everything you learn—positioning, timing, decision-making—translates directly into online play. It's a clever solution that allows players to grow at their own pace while also preparing them for more challenging competition.
Career Mode is a step in the right direction more control over learning, more opportunities for development, and a better entry into PvP. If you previously bounced off the game, now might be the perfect time to return.
