Microsoft is gearing up for one of the most important gaming events of the year, and we've just learned the details. The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will take place on June 7 and will show the future of gaming on Xbox platforms. Interestingly, right after the main event, we'll see a separate showcase dedicated to one of the biggest brands in the history of this platform. Additionally, Xbox FanFest is making a return, which further heightens the atmosphere around the event. Overall, it promises to be one of the key events for gamers in 2026.
Big Xbox showcase on 7th June
Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will kick off on 7th June. In Europe, the broadcast will start at 7:00 PM Polish time. During the event, we will see first gameplay footage and new announcements of games from first-party studios and partners from around the world. Traditionally, it will be a review of both major productions and smaller titles that could become hits.
Right after the main event, there will be a Gears of War: E-Day Direct, which is a separate presentation focused on the new installment of the series. The project is handled by The Coalition, and the showcase is set to reveal more details about the story depicting the beginnings of the so-called Emergence Day. We can expect new gameplay footage and behind-the-scenes production insights.
Return of Xbox FanFest
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Xbox brand, Xbox FanFest is also making a return. The event aims to combine memories from recent years with a preview of the platform's future. It’s a nod to the community that has supported the Xbox ecosystem for years, and an additional element of the entire show.
The showcase itself is just the beginning. Microsoft announces that after the event, a series of materials, analyses, and additional information will be published over the following days. For gamers, this means one thing – June is set to be exceptionally intense, and Xbox wants to make a strong mark in the market.
