Philips has revealed new details of the Evnia 27M2D5901A monitor, which combines an exceptionally high 5K resolution with gaming refresh rates. The device offers two modes of operation: 5K at up to 180 Hz or WQHD at up to 350 Hz. It also features Ambiglow lighting, DisplayPort 2.1 and a comprehensive set of ports.
5K for work, 350 Hz for gaming
The new Philips Evnia uses a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a native resolution of 5120 × 2880 pixels. The default refresh rate is 165 Hz, but it can be overclocked to 180 Hz.
Thanks to Dual Mode, the monitor can switch to WQHD (2560 × 1440), boosting the refresh rate to 330 Hz, and when overclocked even 350 Hz. It's an interesting solution for people who work with graphics during the day but play fast-paced esports titles in the evening.
The manufacturer also claims 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space, 95% Adobe RGB, a 1 ms (GtG) response time and brightness of up to 500 nits. The monitor has DisplayHDR 400 certification, so don't expect HDR effects comparable to OLEDs or advanced Mini LEDs.
Ambiglow, USB-C 96 W and a KVM switch
Philips has equipped the monitor with three-sided Ambiglow lighting that adjusts the colours of the light behind the screen to match the image on display.
Users get DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB-C ports (one with up to 96 W charging), a USB hub and a KVM switch. There are also two 5 W speakers and an adjustable stand with Pivot.
Price and availability. What about Poland?
Philips has already launched the product page in Germany, but has not yet confirmed a start date for sales in Poland.
At an earlier presentation a European price of about €799 and a launch in July 2026 were announced, but that date has passed. For now there is no confirmed Polish price or availability date.
