Xbox is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is doing so in quite an unusual way, combining gaming with the world of beverages. The new collaboration with Fanta includes not only limited edition packaging but also real prizes and bonuses in games. Players will be able to scan codes and participate in special challenges. There are consoles, gear, and add-ons for popular titles up for grabs. This is one of the more creative marketing campaigns in recent months.
Limited edition Fanta for gamers
Microsoft and Fanta have prepared a special collection of cans and bottles inspired by games. The packaging will feature themes from titles such as Halo, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, and Forza Horizon 6.
Additionally, there will be a new flavour Fanta Crimson, created specifically for this campaign. Each package contains a QR code that unlocks special challenges. Participants can take part in tasks and earn rewards and bonuses for games. Among the prizes, we will find an Xbox Series S, controllers, and a Game Pass subscription, among others.
The collaboration doesn't stop at physical prizes. Gamers can earn unique in-game items, such as special skins or add-ons. This applies to titles like Diablo IV, Halo, and Call of Duty, which further encourages participation in the campaign. In May, there will also be a special event in Los Angeles inspired by the world of Diablo IV. On-site, players will be able to take part in interactive experiences and compete for additional prizes, including gaming gear and trips to industry events.
This collaboration shows how much gaming intersects with other industries today. Xbox is using its biggest brands to create something more than just a standard promotion. For gamers, it's an opportunity to earn bonuses, and for brands, a way to reach a massive community.
