Sony presents a new version of its gaming monitor and immediately raises the bar for the entire market. The Inzone M10S II is gear aimed at the most demanding players, particularly those involved in esports. The standout feature here is the absurdly high refresh rate, which under the right conditions can reach up to 720 Hz.
Extreme Smoothness and OLED Technology
The monitor uses a modern Tandem WOLED panel from LG, which means great picture quality and an extremely fast response time of 0.02 ms. At a native resolution of 1440p, the hardware offers 540 Hz, and in a reduced resolution mode, it can reach the mentioned 720 Hz. Sony adds to this the BFI technology, or Black Frame Insertion, which improves motion sharpness by inserting black frames between successive images. The result? An even clearer image in dynamic scenes, although at the cost of potential flicker. This solution will be particularly appreciated by FPS gamers, where every millisecond counts.
Gear for professionals but not for everyone
The Inzone M10S II was developed in collaboration with the organisation Fnatic, which clearly shows its purpose. It's a monitor for those who play at the highest level and require maximum precision. There's also a 24-inch mode in a lower resolution, which might appeal to fans of classic esports settings. However, this is not the ideal gear for everyone. It lacks things like USB-C or built-in speakers, and the price at around 1100 dollars clearly indicates that it's a premium product. Sony is trying to ease concerns regarding OLED by offering a 3-year warranty covering burn-in.
Inzone M10S II shows that the boundaries of image fluidity are still being pushed, and OLED is increasingly boldly entering the world of esports.
