LG Display published its financial results for the third quarter of 2026. The Korean panel maker reported revenue of 6.28 trillion won and an operating profit of 250.6 billion won. After a loss in the previous quarter the company returned to profit, and it plans to base further growth primarily on OLED technology.
LG Display back in the black
LG Display's revenue rose 12% compared with the second quarter, mainly due to higher shipments of large OLED panels and displays for mobile devices. Operating profit was 250.6 billion won, while in the previous quarter the company posted a loss of 107.7 billion won.
Not all figures are positive, however. Compared with the third quarter of 2025, revenue fell 10% and operating profit decreased from 431 billion won. Net profit, meanwhile, rose to 755.6 billion won, partly thanks to a favourable result from foreign exchange-related financial operations.
Cheaper OLED TVs and more gaming monitors
LG Display is set to further strengthen its OLED lineup. In the TV segment the company plans to develop both premium panels and solutions offered at more competitive price points. The manufacturer also intends to expand the Gaming OLED series aimed at monitors. At the same time it is working on technologies to reduce display manufacturing costs. One of them is FLiPP, a new method for precise forming of OLED structures.
For buyers this means the prospect of a wider choice of OLED TVs and monitors in the coming years. However, LG Display did not give specific launch dates or indicate the scale of any potential price cuts.
