A new production from Housemarque, called Saros, is set to be one of the first titles that will truly showcase the capabilities of the PlayStation 5 Pro. The creators clearly state that the aim was to squeeze the maximum out of the hardware and create an experience that stands out from the current generation.
Better image quality and stable 60 FPS
The biggest changes concern the graphics. Thanks to the improved PSSR image scaling system, the game offers quality very close to native 4K while maintaining fluidity at 60 frames per second. Importantly, the PS5 Pro renders the image at a higher resolution right from the base stage, resulting in a sharper and more detailed picture. In practice, this means not only more pixels but also improved reflections, lighting, and overall scene quality. The standard PlayStation 5 also performs very well, but the Pro version clearly raises the bar.
Immersion at a New Level
Saros is also developing elements that Sony has heavily promoted since the launch of the PS5. We're talking about 3D audio based on Tempest Audio and the capabilities of the DualSense controller. Adaptive triggers allow for different shooting modes depending on the pressure applied, and haptics are better at conveying events on the screen. All of this makes combat more dynamic and 'physical'.
Speed and Fluidity of Gameplay
Thanks to the fast SSD, respawns after death are practically instantaneous. This is particularly important in a production that focuses on intense action and frequent respawns. The creators also emphasise that the game will dynamically change with the progression of gameplay, which is meant to increase replayability and ensure that each session feels a bit different.
Saros promises to be a showcase of PS5 Pro capabilities with better graphics, greater immersion, and fast-paced gameplay, which is everything expected from a new generation.
