Samsung launches the world’s first 37-inch ViewFinity S8. Five extra inches promise better readability, multitasking and everyday comfort.

Samsung is extending its ViewFinity S8 monitor line with a completely new model – the world's first 37-inch monitor. The Koreans emphasise that this additional 5 inches compared to the popular 32-inch variant makes a huge difference in work and everyday use.

Bigger screen, greater efficiency

The new ViewFinity S8 (S80UD) has been designed with the work environment in mind. With a 16:9 aspect ratio and UHD resolution, the extra inches significantly improve text readability and increase workspace. Samsung explains that even with the same image settings, details become clearer, making documents and spreadsheets easier to comprehend at a glance.

As a result, this monitor excels not only in office work but also in situations where something needs to be presented to a team – the screen makes an impression during content sharing.

Comfort and Ergonomic Certifications

The device has received the TÜV Rheinland Ergonomic Workspace Display certification, confirming that its design minimises eye strain when editing text or documentation. It also features an Eye Saver mode that reduces blue light emission and a Flicker Free function. All of this is intended to make extended use of the monitor less tiring.

Ideal for multitasking

Samsung promotes the 37-inch ViewFinity as an alternative to dual monitor setups. You can display multiple windows side by side on one screen, reducing clutter and achieving a cleaner workspace.

The built-in KVM switch allows you to control two devices with one set of peripherals, and the features Picture-by-Picture (PBP) and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) further enhance flexibility. Additionally, there's a USB-C port with 90 W charging and LAN, making the monitor a true work centre.

In the end, after all..

Samsung insists that “5 inches can make a huge difference” – and it’s hard to disagree. The 37-inch ViewFinity S8 isn’t overly large like the 43-inch models, but it offers definitely more space than the classic 32 inches. For those looking for the perfect balance between a compact monitor and a really big screen, the new offering from the Koreans could be the ideal solution.
