Samsung has been the leader in the commercial display market for 17 consecutive years.

Calendar 3/19/2026

Although most of us associate Samsung mainly with phones and TVs in the living room, this company has been dominating a place we rarely think about for 17 years – on our streets, in shops, and at airports. The Korean giant has just announced that it has once again been ranked number one in the world for the production of commercial screens. This means that for nearly two decades, no one has been able to dethrone them. The same can be said for the traditional TV market, where they have been number one for 20 years.

Screens You See Every Day, But Don’t Realise

Have you ever wondered who makes those big, bright menus, for example, at places like McDonald’s, the giant screens at stadiums, or the departure boards at airports? In one out of every three such cases, it’s Samsung. The company has dominated public spaces so much that we pass their screens almost everywhere we go. From interactive displays in shopping centres to modern information boards in offices. These are not ordinary televisions. These panels must operate 24 hours a day, shine directly in the sun, and last for years without breaking down.

What awaits us in 2026?

Samsung isn't planning to slow down. They're now focusing on Micro LED technology, meaning screens that can be assembled like Lego blocks. You can build a display of any size and shape – from the size of an entire wall in a luxury apartment to transparent panels that look like ordinary glass until you turn them on. If there's a massive, glowing screen hanging somewhere in your city, the chances are that it's backed by Samsung.
