Netflix has revealed a large part of its catalogue of series and films for 2026. The list includes both continuations of major hits and entirely new projects – from high-budget fantasy to documentary series and live broadcasts.
After the conclusion in 2025 of two key brands – Stranger Things and Squid Game – the platform enters 2026 with a new strategy. One of the pillars will be the animated series Stranger Things: Tales From '85 and an entirely new production by the Duffer brothers – The Boroughs, once again set in a horror and monster atmosphere.
Lots of Series, Fewer Movies
In the competition with Amazon, Apple TV+, Disney, and other players, Netflix remains the most aggressive in terms of the number of premieres. New content is set to hit the platform several times a week on average. At the same time, in 2026, Netflix will still be competing with HBO Max – the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery is not expected before the end of the year. Among the most talked-about series and film titles are:
Enola Holmes 3
Beef season 2
new series Man on Fire
science fiction film War Machine
One Piece season 2
new version of Little House on the Prairie
animated Alley Cats by Ricky Gervais
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man
final season of The Witcher
Steven Spielberg is preparing the documentary Dinosaurs.
Biggest Hit of 2026 – Narnia
The biggest Netflix film of 2026 could be Narnia directed by Greta Gerwig. The production will hit IMAX cinemas two weeks before its streaming debut in December 2026. There is currently little information available, and no video materials have been shown yet. The exclusive deal with IMAX has faced sharp criticism from parts of the film industry, which considers it to undermine traditional cinema distribution.

Netflix has announced that this is not the end of the announcements. More titles and exact release dates are set to be revealed throughout 2026. If this list is an indication of the direction, the platform is focusing on scale, recognizable brands, and big names – even at the expense of a smaller number of theatrical blockbusters.
