LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED – A new era of premium home cinema!

Calendar 10/20/2025

LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED – 136 inches of luxury home cinema with Dolby Vision and the α9 AI 6th Gen processor. Launching October 21.

LG introduces a new generation of luxury Micro LED screens. The LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED model combines Active Matrix technology with Dolby Vision, offering truly cinematic experiences on a 136-inch 4K screen.

LG once again proves that luxury in the world of home cinema can be redefined. The Korean manufacturer has just presented the LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED – the latest screen with a diagonal of 136 inches, using Active Matrix technology for precise control of each pixel individually. The result? An image with stunning depth, contrast, and realism that fully captures the creator's vision.

Perfection in Every Pixel

Traditional Passive Matrix systems control pixels across entire rows and columns. LG decided to go further. With Active Matrix Micro LED, each of the millions of pixels in the MAGNIT screen generates its own light and operates independently. This translates to amazing detail reproduction accuracy, exceptional sharpness, and contrast 1,000,000:1.

LG has also utilised its own surface technology, which deepens blacks and eliminates the influence of external light, ensuring colours remain true and natural even in bright rooms. The modular design of the panels has allowed for the creation of a perfectly smooth surface without visible gaps between segments.

100 W power and sound like at the movies

The built-in audio system consists of 4.2 speakers with a total power of 100 W, offering spatial sound without the need for additional soundbars. The screen also supports eARC, which is a high-bandwidth audio return channel, allowing audio to be transmitted in lossless quality – the perfect duo with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Image intelligence thanks to the α9 AI Processor 6th Generation

At the heart of the new MAGNIT is the α9 AI 6th Gen processor, which analyses the scene frame by frame, recognising faces, objects, and backgrounds. It reduces noise, enhances details, and reproduces colours with photographic accuracy. On top of that, there’s 144 Hz refresh rate, which makes fast movements – in games or sports broadcasts – look perfectly smooth.

webOS, Dolby Vision and art on the wall

As expected from a premium class device, the screen operates on the webOS platform, so it supports all the most popular VOD apps and streaming services. Users can also take advantage of LG Channels – free FAST television – and the LG Gallery+ service, turning the screen into an art gallery featuring works by renowned painters or graphics from games.

Of course, Dolby Vision is included, guaranteeing vivid colours, perfect brightness, and impressive depth of image. The screen has also received Color Consistency Wide Viewing certification from TÜV Rheinland, confirming colour consistency even at wide angles.

Home cinema, safety as standard

LG has also ensured user safety - the screen meets FCC standards for home environments and has a BSI Class 2 certification for flammability resistance. This means it can be safely installed in living rooms, home theatres, or private offices.

New Definition of Home Cinema

“The new LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED can turn a home into a true cinema – thanks to its size, colours, and resolution that brings every detail to life with unprecedented precision” – said Park Hyoung-sei, president of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.

The model's debut takes place on October 21 in Korea, and then the screen will be available in the North American market and other countries. LG also plans to introduce a scaled version for B2B applications, as a fully modular video wall.

LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED is more than just a television. It's an art installation, cinema, gallery, and entertainment centre all in one. 136 inches of perfection in 4K, active control over every pixel, and Dolby Vision heralds a new era in the world of home viewing.
