LG brings Xbox and Zoom to cars – webOS redefines mobility!

LG brings Xbox Game Pass and Zoom to cars with webOS ACP. In-car gaming and video meetings redefine driving as a seamless entertainment hub.

At IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, LG demonstrated that a car is no longer just a means of transport, but a full-fledged space for entertainment and work. The Koreans are developing their webOS Automotive Content Platform (ACP), and new partnerships with Xbox and Zoom clearly show what the future of the passenger cabin could look like.

Xbox in the car – cloud gaming on the go

LG has confirmed that Xbox Game Pass will be available on ACP. This means that passengers will be able to play titles like Forza Horizon 5 or Doom: The Dark Ages directly on the car's screens – all you need is a Bluetooth controller and internet access. Progress from your console or PC will sync automatically, so you start at home and finish… on the highway.

Chris Lee from Xbox emphasized that this is another step towards “gaming everywhere” – and it’s hard to disagree with that.

ChooseTV – mobile office on the go

The second partnership is ChooseTV, which turns a car into a mobile conference room. Thanks to the native app in ACP, drivers and passengers can conduct video conferences or manage work on the road. LG ensures that the whole system is designed to minimise distractions while driving.

Brendan Ittelson from ChooseTV called it a “milestone” in redefining communication in cars – and indeed, it seems to be another step towards integrating professional life with mobility.

webOS from TV to car

It's worth mentioning that webOS powers over 240 million smart TVs and now the same platform is making its way into cars. This means that ChooseTV provides access not only to Xbox or Zoom, but also to streaming services – from Netflix and Disney+ to RakutenTV, Joyn and the Japanese U-NEXT.

LG clearly states: by 2030, it aims to deliver ACP to 20 million vehicles. If successful, cars will indeed become what the company has been talking about for a long time – “living space on wheels”.
