Popular dance game Just Dance Now is finally coming to LG Smart TVs – and without a console, without cables, and without extra controllers. All you need is the Magic Remote, which… takes on the role of a motion sensor. Ubisoft and LG Electronics have jointly announced that the game will gradually appear on TVs with webOS 22 or newer, starting from December 2025 in North America and Europe.
– Our collaboration with LG is a great way for even more people to dance to Just Dance Now thanks to the webOS platform, – says Amelie Louvet, brand director for Just Dance at Ubisoft Paris. – LG Smart TVs are now becoming a place where family and friends can literally turn the living room into a dance floor and groove to the biggest hits in the world.
Without a console, no problem
The Just Dance Now version for LG TVs works completely independently – you don't need a PlayStation, Xbox, or even a smartphone. Everything takes place directly through the LG Gaming Portal, where the game will appear alongside applications such as Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now. Players will be able to play for free for a limited time each day, and for those interested, subscriptions and song packs are available.
LG Remote as a Motion Controller
The most interesting element? Magic Remote, known for its gesture control and on-screen cursor, will now serve as a motion controller, registering players' dance moves. This is the first time that LG allows the use of the remote's built-in sensors for such a purpose. This opens the door for other motion games on webOS – especially in conjunction with the planned development of gaming services without a console.
LG aims for family gaming
After adding cloud platforms like GeForce Now and Xbox, Just Dance Now is another step by LG towards home entertainment without hardware limitations. The brand clearly focuses on accessibility and simplicity – you simply turn on the TV, grab the remote, and dance. Globally, Just Dance Now is already enjoyed by over 135 million players, and with the game’s arrival on Smart TV – this number will likely increase even more.
