Honor introduces an affordable projector with a stylus and AI features – here’s the Honor Choice Projector Air!

Honor – a brand that most people mainly associate with smartphones – has just surprised us with a new device. The company has unveiled its first projector, and in quite an unusual style. The Honor Choice Projector Air is a compact, affordable piece of equipment featuring a rotating gimbal, AI-driven gesture control, and… a stylus that allows you to doodle directly on the wall.

Projector that is meant to be cheap, simple, and a bit… creative

Honor is hitting the market with semi-portable projectors at a low price. The Projector Air offers 1080p resolution, 280 CVIA lumens brightness, and a contrast ratio of 2500:1. It’s not meant for watching movies in bright midday sun – rather, it’s a "nighttime" device to be used in darker settings. AI Gesture Control and Stylus

Two unique additions set Honor Choice apart from the competition. Firstly – gesture control, allowing you to navigate through menus without touching the remote. Secondly – a stylus that lets you… draw on the displayed image.

This is a clear nod to the very old Touchjet Pond projector, which attempted to do the same thing 10 years ago. The effect was amusing back then, and the limitations were obvious – to draw, you had to stand between the projector and the wall, which meant one thing: a shadow falling on the screen. Honor hasn’t solved this problem, as they didn’t opt for an ultra-short throw projector. But let’s remember – this is cheap equipment, and an UST would cost many times more.
