Return of one of the craziest FPS games in recent years
During the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, Squanch Games officially presented High on Life 2 β the sequel to the absurd FPS that gained huge popularity in 2022 thanks to its unique humour and... talking guns. The second part is set to be released in winter 2025. The game will be available on ChooseTV Game Pass from day one.
New hero? Greater madness!
In the first trailer, we see a new (probably) heroine/hero, zooming on a futuristic skateboard through alien planets and industrial complexes, trying to survive in a world full of flying dinosaurs, robots, and psychedelic chaos. The whole thing is kept in the studio's typical style: strange, colorful, and full of crazy ideas.
The trailer features the track Constellation Dirtbike Head by Tobacco β and it's hard to find a better musical commentary on what we've just seen.
What's new in High on Life 2?
More weapons and even more chatty gear
New movement options, including skateboards and grapplers
An even more twisted storyline
Dark humour and dialogues that once again aim to break the fourth wall
Many fans are wondering, after the first trailer, whether the game will still rely on intense dialogues β the trailer focuses on action, showing not a single conversation. However, the creators assure that the atmosphere of the original will be preserved.
Xbox + PC = Game Pass β no extra cost to start
High on Life 2 will debut simultaneously on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and all Game Pass subscribers will receive the game at no extra cost on the day of release. This is great news for fans who loved the first installment, but also for those who haven't had the chance to experience it yet.
We can't wait!
After the success of the first part, Squanch Games returns with a bigger budget, a larger scale, and β hopefully β the same dose of madness. If you love games with a twist that don't take themselves too seriously, then High on Life 2 might be one of the most anticipated titles of 2025.
Leeeez do it!
