Sony has revealed two new limited-edition DualSense controllers created to mark the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Both models are inspired by the vibe of Vice City, which will be one of the key locations in the upcoming Rockstar Games title. The controllers will be available in black and white colourways, with distinctive details referencing the city. They go on sale on 19 November 2026, the same day GTA VI hits stores. Pre-orders for both models begin on 10 September.
Two controllers inspired by Vice City
Sony has prepared two versions of the limited‑edition DualSense: Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition and Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition. Both variants are designed to capture the distinctive Vice City style. The manufacturer used an iridescent finish that shifts colour depending on the viewing angle. The finish blends hues associated with Vice City sunsets and the neon lights that brighten the city at night. The shell also features special palm motifs. Importantly, these elements are integrated directly into the controller's moulding, so they also have a tactile texture. It also includes official Grand Theft Auto VI branding. The white version is meant to depict Vice City during the day, evoking bright beaches, a pastel sky and the city's more relaxed character. The black variant, meanwhile, is a nod to Vice City's nightlife. Both models will be produced in limited numbers. The white version will land in the official PlayStation Store and at selected retailers across various markets. The black model will be available directly from PlayStation where the direct.playstation.com store operates, and through selected retailers in other regions.
DualSense will harness the PS5's capabilities in GTA VI
The new controllers aren't just a cosmetic change, as in GTA VI they'll also make use of the DualSense's distinctive features. Haptic feedback will respond to on‑screen events and convey different sensations tied to the action. Adaptive triggers will provide dynamic resistance when using various gameplay elements. Sony says these features will help make Jason and Lucia's story feel more directly felt in the player's hands. The controller's functions are meant to react to events that occur during play. This is part of a broader push to present GTA VI as a title that uses the PlayStation 5's capabilities. Rockstar Games is preparing the title for release on 19 November 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC was not listed among the platforms for this release. The limited controllers themselves will be compatible accessories for PS5 owners. Their recommended retail price will be $84.99, about 370 zł, depending on the market. In Japan the price has been set at ¥12,480 including tax. Pre-orders will start on 10 September at 10:00 local time in selected markets. Exact availability and the controllers' release date may vary by country.
