The premiere may be delayed. And yes, the price can kill enthusiasm.
According to the latest leaks, in less than a year – 26 May 2026 – we are supposed to get Grand Theft Auto VI. But more and more indicates that, firstly: it won’t be cheap, and secondly: they may not make it in time. Rockstar might push the release to September.
Three versions of GTA 6. And each more expensive than the last
The information was provided by the well-known industry insider Millie A, who has obtained Rockstar's offers. The game is set to be released in three editions:
Standard – 69.99 GBP (approx. 343 AUD)
Deluxe – 89.99 GBP (approx. 440 AUD)
Premium – 109.99 GBP (approx. 540 AUD)
What distinguishes the editions? Primarily access to GTA Online. The Deluxe edition is said to provide early access, while the Premium offers “first” access. So if you want to jump online the quickest – you’ll pay 540 AUD.
Rockstar is playing with time again
Leaks suggest that Sony has been given the opportunity to promote the game – there will be special bundles with PS5 and PS5 Pro. But here lies the problem: the game may debut later than planned. September 2026? That can no longer be ruled out.
There’s no confirmation yet, but let’s be honest – who would be surprised if Rockstar delayed the release again?
