Google is speeding up in the AI race. Gemini 3.1 Pro is set to outpace ChatGPT in analysis.

Google is launching the Gemini 3.1 Pro model, which is set to be the biggest step forward in this line for months. The company is moving away from minor tweaks and focusing on genuinely enhancing analytical capabilities. The new architecture has been designed with challenging, multi-step problems in mind, rather than just quick text generation.

In logical tests, the model achieves noticeably better results than the previous version and outperforms some competitors, including solutions from OpenAI. In the ARC-AGI-2 benchmark, Gemini 3.1 Pro records a 77.1 percent success rate, and in programming tasks it achieves a higher ranking than GPT-5.2. The differences are also evident in tests checking the ability to solve new, unknown patterns.

In practice, the model is supposed to handle the analysis of large datasets, translating complex issues, and generating code more effectively. Google emphasizes that this is a qualitative change, not just a speeding up of responses. If the results prove reliable in everyday use, the AI market may witness a clear shift in leadership.
