Microsoft has once again put together a Free Play Days weekend event, allowing players to try selected titles for free. This time the offer includes both classic games and newer releases. Some games are available exclusively to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and Essential subscribers, while several titles can be played by all Xbox users. Additionally, most titles are covered by time-limited promotions in the Microsoft Store. This lets you continue playing after the free period ends, keeping your saved progress and achievements. Players therefore have another chance to try new releases before deciding whether to buy.
Metal Gear Solid and Tides of Tomorrow for Game Pass subscribers
Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and Essential can play Tides of Tomorrow and Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Version this weekend. The first is a narrative adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic world covered in water, where events depend on players' choices. Meanwhile, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Version lets you relive Solid Snake's iconic mission on Shadow Moses Island. The event is scheduled to run until 26 July, but Microsoft has extended access to the Metal Gear Solid collection by an extra day, until 27 July. All achievements earned and saved progress will be retained after purchasing the full game. Both titles can be downloaded directly from the Xbox Store or the Microsoft Store website. For subscribers, it's one of the main attractions of the latest edition of Free Play Days.
For Honor, Bleach and Killing Floor 3 available to all players
Microsoft has also put together an offer that doesn't require an active Game Pass subscription. All Xbox users can try For Honor, Bleach Rebirth of Souls and Killing Floor 3 for free. For Honor will be available for an unusually long time, with the free period running until 4 August. Bleach Rebirth of Souls lets you play as characters from the popular anime and take part in spectacular sword duels. Killing Floor 3 has received a new update, Season 4 Operation: Shadow Hunter, which introduces a new map, the Gunslinger class, another boss and an extra difficulty level. All the games included in the event can be bought at promotional prices before the event ends. Microsoft encourages players to take advantage of the offer and keep an eye on future editions of Free Play Days, which regularly appear in the Xbox catalogue.
The new edition of Free Play Days brings several interesting options for both Xbox Game Pass subscribers and those without an active subscription. Among the most notable titles are Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Version, For Honor, Bleach Rebirth of Souls and Killing Floor 3. It's a great opportunity to try out new games and decide which ones are worth adding to your library.
