Xiaomi again proves that a gaming monitor with solid specs doesn't have to cost a fortune. The company has unveiled the Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition, which features a 27-inch Fast IPS panel, WQHD resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The biggest surprise, however, is the price. In China the device will start at no more than 799 yuan, about $120!

2K 240 Hz panel

The new Xiaomi monitor is fitted with a Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The manufacturer claims a 1 ms GtG response time and a peak brightness of 500 nits.

The Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition also offers 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space and 100% sRGB. The monitor supports 10-bit colour depth achieved via an 8-bit panel with FRC. Each unit is factory calibrated, with a claimed colour accuracy of Delta E < 2.

Xiaomi has also had gamers in mind

It comes with AMD FreeSync Premium and a dynamic overdrive that automatically adjusts the panel's response time to the current frame rate.

It also includes a feature for brightening dark areas of the image, an adjustable on-screen crosshair and the ability to simulate a 24.5-inch screen. The latter may interest CS2 fans and other esports players in particular, although FreeSync Premium does not work in that mode.

The monitor is equipped with two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports and a headphone output. The stand allows height adjustment, tilt, swivel and portrait orientation.

240 Hz for $120. Where does that price come from?

The Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition is a cheaper variant of the series, which also includes a model with a 320 Hz refresh rate.

The new model is set to go on sale in China on 21 October. The list price is 999 yuan (around $149), but an introductory promotion will cut it to as little as 799 yuan.

It’s not yet known whether the monitor will be released in Poland. Keep in mind that the Chinese price does not include European taxes or distribution costs.
