Data found in Xbox Cloud Gaming indicates that the company is testing the ability to run classics in the cloud. Among the titles noticed were, among others, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and other games from the Xbox 360 era. Although everything quickly disappeared from the system, the frequency of such cases suggests that this is more than just coincidence.
Cloud as a Way to Bring Back Forgotten Games
Instead of relying solely on hardware compatibility, Microsoft could focus on streaming. This would allow older games to run on new devices without the need for installation or adaptation to new hardware. This is especially important because many classics have been removed from stores or only run on older consoles.
