THOMSON is back in the game in a big way. The brand, whose history dates back to 1893, proved at the IFA 2025 trade show in Berlin that its ambitions reach far beyond the ordinary. Just two years after re-entering the market, the portfolio has grown from eight items to over 170 products. Present in 45 markets and with 1.7 million devices sold, the company demonstrates that it can combine consistency with a bold vision.
Three Smart TV Systems – One Brand
The greatest interest has been sparked by the new Smart TV models operating on three platforms: Fire TV, TiVo, and Google TV 5.0. Fire TV offers simplicity and integration with Alexa, TiVo focuses on a classic linear TV layout with the addition of streaming, while Google TV provides full personalization and AI for the demanding user. The lineup includes, among others, the first 43-inch MiniLED 144 Hz gaming TV in Europe and a 24-inch QLED XS powered by 12V – perfect for camper or boat trips.
More than TVs – monitors, sound, and smart gadgets
THOMSON does not limit itself to one category. The portfolio now includes monitors with a 240 Hz refresh rate, soundbars controlled by the same remote as the TV, as well as Smart Photo Frames that allow family and friends to share memories through an app. In the business and educational sectors, Smart Boards with cameras and a dual operating system are making their debut, and at home – a new line of small household appliances, from touch-screen toasters to coffee makers and air fryers.
ChooseTV Collection – mobility that follows the user
The biggest hit of the shows in Berlin was the ChooseTV Collection. These are products that do not stay in the living room – they go wherever you need them. ChooseTV is a 32-inch television on wheels with a built-in battery, Choose Plus is a mobile 4K screen with touch support and accessories, and Choose Projectors offer both compact outdoor models and laser home cinema. Additionally, Choose CAST – a mini plug that converts any screen into a Smart TV with Google TV in seconds. This is a clear message: THOMSON technology is meant to be flexible and mobile.
