TCL 2026 is hitting the market, new TVs already discounted from the start.

TCL has begun selling its 2026 television models in the USA and has done something unusual – the models are discounted right from the start. The new lineup includes both advanced miniLEDs with Super Quantum Dot technology and the first models with RGB LED. This is a clear signal that the manufacturer wants to aggressively compete in the premium market and directly compete with OLEDs.

MiniLED and RGB LED on the Offensive

New series, such as TCL QM8L and TCL QM7L, further develop the already known miniLED technology, offering a greater number of dimming zones and higher brightness. Thanks to the use of "Super Quantum Dot," the televisions are supposed to provide a broader color palette and better contrast, bringing them closer to OLED quality. Meanwhile, the TCL RM9L model introduces a new type of RGB LED backlighting, which is expected to further improve color reproduction and image brightness. It is these technologies that are supposed to be TCL's key weapon in the battle for the high-end segment.

Big discounts already at launch

What is most surprising are the prices. TCL has decided to lower them right from the start, in some cases by even several thousand dollars compared to the suggested amounts. For example, the largest models have been discounted by up to 5000 dollars, while other series have seen reductions of about 1000 dollars. This is an unusual move, as prices for televisions typically only drop a few months after launch. This strategy may attract customers who have been hesitant between LCD and more expensive OLEDs.

TCL clearly shows that it wants to make a big impact in the premium segment, offering advanced technologies and aggressive prices right from the start. If the picture quality meets expectations, the competition may have a significant problem.
