MSI expands its gaming monitor lineup with the MAG 276QBM34. The unit features a 27-inch Rapid IPS panel, WQHD resolution and refresh rates up to 340 Hz. The most interesting element is the QD-Mini LED backlight with 1,152 local dimming zones, which is designed to deliver significantly better HDR performance than traditional IPS monitors.
340 Hz and brightness up to 1000 nits
The MSI MAG 276QBM34 uses a Rapid IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. The maximum refresh rate is 340 Hz in OC mode, while the rated minimum response time is 0.5 ms GtG.
With 1,152 Mini LED backlight zones, the monitor can independently control the brightness of different areas of the screen. The manufacturer claims a peak brightness of 1000 nits and DisplayHDR 1000 certification. It also features quantum dots, providing 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
Gamers can use AMD FreeSync Premium, Adaptive Sync compatible with G-Sync, and SLMB motion blur reduction.
Simplified stand and no price
The new model is closely related to the previously unveiled MAG 276QRM34. The main difference is the stand, which on the 276QBM34 only offers tilt adjustment. The monitor still supports VESA 100 x 100 mm mounting.
It is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4a ports, and a headphone output. Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture are also available, as well as a mode that simulates a 24.5-inch screen.
MSI has not yet revealed a price or a launch date for Europe. It is also unknown when the monitor will appear in Polish stores.
