Samsung has been the market leader in commercial displays for 17 consecutive years.

Calendar 3/19/2026

Although most of us mostly associate Samsung with phones and televisions in the living room, this company has ruled in a place we rarely think about – on our streets, in stores, and at airports for the past 17 years. The Korean giant just announced that it has once again become number one in the world in the production of commercial displays. This means that for nearly two decades, no one has been able to dethrone them. Similarly, the situation is the same in the market for traditional televisions, where they have been number one for 20 years.

Screens You See Every Day, But Don't Realize

Have you ever wondered who produces those big, bright menus, for example, in places like McDonald's, huge LED screens in stadiums, or departure boards at airports? In one out of every three such cases, it’s Samsung. The company has dominated public spaces so much that we pass their screens almost every step of the way. From interactive displays in shopping malls to modern information boards in offices. These are not ordinary televisions. These panels must operate 24 hours a day, shine directly in the sun, and endure for years.

What can we expect in 2026?

Samsung has no intention of slowing down. They are now focusing on Micro LED technology, which means screens that can be assembled like Lego blocks. You can build a display of any size and shape – from the size of an entire wall in a luxury apartment, to transparent panels that look like regular glass until you turn them on. If there is a huge, glowing screen hanging somewhere in your city, the chances are it’s powered by Samsung.
