Samsung has announced a new generation of soundbars and wireless speakers that, in 2026, will significantly expand the sound capabilities of its TVs. A key innovation is the Music Studio 7 – a 3.1.1 speaker that can operate independently or as part of a larger, wireless TV audio system.
This is Samsung's latest approach to the concept of modular sound. In 2024, the company attempted a similar solution with the Music Frame model, but the project did not gain popularity. Now the manufacturer is returning to the idea in a more advanced form, moving closer to the concept known from the Sonos ecosystem.
Music Studio 7 – wireless TV sound extension
Samsung Music Studio 7 (LS70H) is a 3.1.1 speaker system – with front left, right channels, and an upward-firing speaker. The device supports Dolby Atmos, and multiple units can be connected into one system, creating a wider stereo scene or full surround sound. The speakers wirelessly connect to compatible Samsung TVs through the Q-Symphony system. This solution allows for simultaneous use of the TV's speakers and external audio devices.
According to Samsung, it's possible to connect up to five audio devices to one TV. Once configured, the system automatically analyzes the layout of the room and adjusts the sound distribution to its acoustics. The result is supposed to be better dialogue clarity and more realistic surround sound.
Samsung also announces a smaller model, Music Studio 5 (LS50H), but it has not yet been confirmed whether it will offer wireless compatibility with TVs.
Q-Symphony in 2026 – More Adaptive Audio
With the new product line, Samsung is also enhancing the Q-Symphony feature. In 2026, the system is expected to operate as a cohesive audio ecosystem, integrating TVs, soundbars, and Wi-Fi speakers into a single unified audio setup. As Samsung emphasizes, the new version of Q-Symphony will automatically adjust the sound to the acoustic conditions of the room, providing more precise surround effects and clearer dialogue.
New Samsung Soundbars for 2026
The flagship soundbar model for 2026 will be the HW-Q990H, which replaces the current model HW-Q990F. The changes are rather evolutionary – a new feature is Auto Volume, which maintains a consistent volume level between different audio sources. The HW-Q990H is an 11.1.4 configuration:
soundbar – 7.0.2
rear speakers – 4.0.2
separate subwoofer with an 8-inch driver
The refreshed all-in-one soundbar – HW-QS90H – will also be available. This model does not use a separate subwoofer, as the low frequencies are generated by the built-in subwoofer. It is a 7.1.2 system that can be placed on furniture or mounted on the wall. Thanks to the built-in gyroscope sensor, the soundbar automatically recognizes its orientation and adjusts the speaker operation to the mounting method.
