PlayStation with the first official monitor. The equipment will charge the DualSense!

Calendar 11/12/2025

PlayStation’s first official monitor! 27” QHD, 240 Hz, HDR and DualSense charging – perfect for PS5 and next-gen gaming.

Sony is going all out. After consoles, controllers, headphones, and VR goggles, the company finally has something that has been missing from its offerings – the first official PlayStation monitor. And it's not under the Inzone brand, but created directly by the Sony Interactive Entertainment team, the same group that designs the PS5 consoles.

The new PlayStation Gaming Monitor debuted during the Japanese State of Play and is intended to be part of a larger strategy by Sony – expanding the PlayStation ecosystem beyond just the console. The idea is to be able to play not only in the living room but also in the office, bedroom, or studio – with the same level of quality and comfort.

27 inches, HDR, and 240 Hz

The screen features a 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) IPS panel with support for HDR and Auto HDR Tone Mapping, which automatically adjusts brightness levels to the capabilities of the PS5. Of course, it also includes VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), ensuring that games maintain full smoothness even with variable frame rates.

On PC and Mac, the monitor supports up to 240 Hz, and for the PS5 and PS5 Pro – 120 Hz, which combined with low input lag is designed to ensure instant response in games. Sony emphasizes that this is hardware designed for dynamic, next-gen gaming and fast lighting effects.

DualSense always at hand

The most original element? Built-in holder for charging the DualSense or DualSense Edge. The controller can be hung on a special hook under the monitor, which also serves as a wireless charger – no cables, no clutter on the desk. Simple, elegant, and very "PlayStation."

All the ports you need

Sony hasn't forgotten about connectivity. The monitor offers two HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C, two USB-A ports, 3.5 mm audio jack, and built-in stereo speakers. It also supports VESA mounting, making it easy to mount on an arm or wall.

The new monitor is also designed to perfectly work with the latest Pulse Elevate speakers, which Sony announced a few weeks ago. Both devices are supposed to create a full-fledged desktop PlayStation environment – for those who want to play "their way," not necessarily in front of a television.

Premiere in 2026

PlayStation 27” Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook will be available for purchase in 2026 – first in Japan and the USA. Sony promises to reveal more details regarding the release date, availability, and final specifications in the coming months. It seems that PlayStation has just opened a new chapter in its history – this time not on a console, but on the gamer’s desk.
