RedMagic has unveiled a new gaming monitor that should interest both fans of high-quality visuals and competitive gamers. The device offers 5K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 330 Hz, and as many as 5,184 Mini LED local dimming zones. The manufacturer also claims a peak HDR brightness of 1,400 nits!

The monitor features Mini LED backlighting with 5,184 independently controlled dimming zones. This allows more precise control of the brightness of individual parts of the image, improving contrast and reducing bloom around bright objects. RedMagic also uses backlight scanning technology designed to reduce motion blur and improve the sharpness of moving objects.

5K and 180 Hz or 2K and 330 Hz? The choice is up to the gamer

The monitor offers two operating modes, letting the user decide whether they value image detail or smoothness more. At 5K the device reaches 180 Hz, while switching to 2K raises the refresh rate to 330 Hz. This setup can work well both for games focused on striking visuals and for fast-paced esports titles. The manufacturer also fitted a slim aluminum chassis with a flat back and a transparent decorative element.

How much does the new RedMagic monitor cost?

The device was unveiled on October 15 during the launch of the RedMagic 12 Pro+ smartphone. Sales in China are scheduled to begin in December 2026, and the price will be 6,499 yuan, or about 3,800 zł. This is not the brand's first monitor with more than 5,000 local dimming zones. The earlier GM001S offered 5,088, but it ran at a maximum of 4K at 160 Hz.

For now, the diagonal size of the new screen and details on its availability in Europe have not been revealed. The claimed HDR specifications also await independent verification.
