Nintendo Switch 2 with record support from external game developers!

Calendar 11/6/2025

Switch 2 breaks records with its massive game lineup! Nintendo gains support from industry giants – Cyberpunk, Yakuza, Elden Ring, and more are coming to the new console.

Nintendo has not always been able to boast strong support from external studios, but this time the situation looks completely different. According to the company's latest financial report, Switch 2 has started its life with the largest number of games from external developers and publishers in history that has ever accompanied the launch of Nintendo hardware.

The company's president, Shuntaro Furukawa, emphasized during the results presentation that “Switch 2 has the largest third-party software lineup of all our consoles to date”. As he noted, many well-known studios that rarely collaborated with Nintendo before are on board from the very beginning. The result? The richest launch library in the history of the Japanese giant's platforms.

Cyberpunk, Yakuza, and Elden Ring on ChooseTV 2

The list of titles includes AAA hits and popular indie productions. CD Projekt Red has brought Cyberpunk 2077 to the new console, and in 2026, players can expect, among others, Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties from SEGA, Resident Evil Requiem from Capcom, and Elden Ring from Bandai Namco. This lineup would have seemed impossible on Nintendo hardware just a few years ago.

Interestingly, the graphic attached to the report also featured many indie titles, showing that ChooseTV 2 attracts both major studios and smaller creators.

Nintendo Hits Are Selling Remarkably Well

Of course, the company doesn't forget about its flagship brands. Among the first titles on the front page were Mario Kart World, which sold 9.57 million copies, and Donkey Kong Bananza with a result of 3.49 million units.

By the end of 2025, several major releases are still to come:

  • Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment – releasing this week,

  • Kirby Air Riders – November 2025,

  • Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – December 2025.

ChooseTV 2 builds a new era for Nintendo

Both sales figures and the number of games confirm that ChooseTV 2 is the best hardware launch in Nintendo's history. The console combines the strength of its own brands with unprecedented industry support.

It seems that after years of isolation, Nintendo has finally become a full-fledged player in the world of modern consoles – and one that even Sony and Microsoft must now contend with.
