Netflix with a new interface! This is how the app for TVs is changing!

Calendar 5/12/2025

New Netflix TV interface with 'My Netflix' tab and Squid Game Season 3 coming June 27! See what’s changing in the Netflix TV app in 2025.

Netflix has finally launched a major refresh of its app for TVs – the first significant update since 2018. Gone is the side menu, which looked like a relic of the past. Instead, we get a new, clearer layout with a top navigation bar and a section called "My Netflix," which is meant to serve as your personal command center. Overall, it looks like a blend of convenience and modernity, exactly what has been missing for many years.

Recommendations that think like Us

The new interface not only looks better — it also thinks better. Netflix is introducing "responsive recommendations" that analyze what you watch, when you watch it, and what interests you. Yes, even the fact that you search for horror movies at night will matter. The whole thing works like a smart algorithm with a human touch. Browsing no longer feels like endless scrolling, making the search for movies and shows more precise and dynamic.

Sports, Games, and Live Streams, or Add-ons Rule!

Netflix has long made it clear that it wants to be more than just a library of movies and series. The new layout will aim to showcase other Netflix "add-ons" – live sports broadcasts, cloud games, and everything that is meant to surprise the user. "We want Netflix to be flexible, intuitive, and responsive to users' needs," said Eunice Kim, head of product at the company. And indeed – it seems that with the new interface, they will be able to tap into the potential of such add-ons.

If you want to see it in all its glory...

...there's no mercy – you need to have the right screen. If you really want to feel how the new Netflix shines in full splendor, it's worth reaching for top-tier televisions. We especially recommend the new LG OLED G4, which not only support wireless connections but also offer brightness levels that change the way you view HDR.
