LG introduces a new generation of luxury Micro LED screens. The LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED model combines Active Matrix technology with Dolby Vision, providing a truly cinematic experience on a 136-inch 4K screen.
LG once again proves that luxury in the world of home cinema can be redefined. The Korean manufacturer has just presented the LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED – the latest screen with a diagonal of 136 inches, utilizing Active Matrix technology for precise control of each pixel individually. The result? An image with stunning depth, contrast, and realism that fully conveys the creator's vision.
Perfection in Every Pixel
Traditional Passive Matrix systems control pixels in entire rows and columns. LG decided to take it further. With Active Matrix Micro LED, each of the millions of pixels in the MAGNIT screen generates its own light and operates independently. This translates to incredible detail reproduction precision, exceptional sharpness, and contrast of 1,000,000:1.
LG also utilized its own surface technology, which deepens black and eliminates the influence of external light, ensuring that colors remain true and natural even in bright rooms. The modular design of the panels allowed for the creation of a perfectly smooth surface without visible gaps between segments.
100 W power and sound like in the cinema
The built-in audio system consists of 4.2 speakers with a total power of 100 W, offering immersive sound without the need for additional soundbars. The screen also supports eARC, which is a high-bandwidth audio return channel, allowing for lossless sound transmission – a perfect match with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
Image Intelligence with α9 AI Processor 6th Generation
The heart of the new MAGNIT is the α9 AI Processor 6th Gen, which analyzes the scene frame by frame, recognizing faces, objects, and backgrounds. It reduces noise, enhances details, and reproduces colors with photographic accuracy. On top of that, there's 144 Hz refresh rate, which makes fast movements – in games or sports broadcasts – look perfectly smooth.
webOS, Dolby Vision and art on the wall
As befits a premium class device, the screen operates on the webOS platform, so it supports all the most popular VOD applications and streaming services. Users can also take advantage of LG Channels – free FAST television – and the LG Gallery+ service, turning the screen into an art gallery featuring works by renowned painters or graphics from games.
Of course, Dolby Vision is included, guaranteeing vivid colors, perfect brightness, and impressive image depth. The screen has also received the Color Consistency Wide Viewing certification from TÜV Rheinland, confirming color consistency even at wide angles.
Home cinema, safety as a standard
LG has also taken care of user safety – the screen meets the FCC standards for home environments and has a BSI Class 2 certificate in terms of fire resistance. This means it can be safely installed in living rooms, movie theaters, or private offices.
New Definition of Home Theater
“The new LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED can transform a home into a true cinema – thanks to its size, colors, and resolution that convey every detail with unprecedented precision,” said Park Hyoung-sei, president of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.
The model will premiere on October 21 in Korea, and then the screen will be available in the North American market and other countries. LG also plans to introduce a scaled version for B2B applications, as a fully modular video wall.
LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED is more than just a television. It is an art installation, cinema, gallery, and entertainment center in one. 136 inches of perfection in 4K, active control of every pixel, and Dolby Vision signal a new era in the world of home visual experience.
