Hisense XR10 is a projector that stands out not only for its picture quality but also for its unusual design. A triple RGB laser and a claimed brightness of 6000 ANSI lumens are just the beginning. We've prepared five interesting facts about the device that we've already had the chance to thoroughly test on choose.tv.
1. A case that looks like it's from a luxury brand
The XR10's packaging alone is impressive. Instead of ordinary cardboard you get an elegant carrying case that resembles the bags of luxury brands like Louis Vuitton. Its color scheme even references LV. It features a leather finish, metal fittings, wheels, and a comfortable handle. It's not just decoration; it lets you store and transport the projector safely and conveniently. So you get a blend of aesthetics and functionality.
2. Projector inspired by photographic cameras
Hisense opted for a retro aesthetic. A large, round lens, a brown metal housing and distinctive knobs make the XR10 look more like a classic camera than a projector. Among the inspirations were iconic medium-format cameras.
3. Liquid cooling
This is perhaps the most interesting feature of the XR10. Instead of relying solely on traditional air cooling, the projector uses a closed-loop liquid cooling system. The solution allows more effective dissipation of heat generated by the high-power RGB lasers and reduces noise. During our test, the projector operated quietly in standard modes, even at high brightness.
4. Can stand on a tripod like an old camera
A special tripod made of walnut and aluminum has also been prepared for the XR10. Once mounted, the projector resembles vintage film cameras set on tall tripods. The whole setup looks very elegant and can serve as part of your living room decor. The tripod is an optional accessory sold separately.
5. Sound developed with luxury brand Devialet
The XR10's sound is handled by an audio system tuned in collaboration with French firm Devialet, known for producing very expensive, premium-class speakers. The projector houses two 8 W speakers and a 15-watt subwoofer. In our tests the setup pleasantly surprised us with its bass and volume, allowing comfortable movie watching without additional speakers.
So how does the Hisense XR10 perform in practice?
An unusual look and interesting design solutions are one thing, but picture quality is what matters most. At ChooseTV we thoroughly tested brightness, contrast, colors, gaming features and the projector's capabilities in a home theater.
