The biggest issue according to the protesters is the increasing market concentration. They believe that the merger of the giants will lead to a situation where the number of major film studios in the USA will drop to just a few players. This could mean fewer projects, less work, and greater control over which stories make it to the screen. Creators point out that the industry is already struggling with the declining number of mid-budget films, and independent creators have increasingly difficult access to financing and distribution. It is also worth remembering that the film market has already changed; today, streaming platforms play a huge role, and the traditional division into a few major studios does not fully reflect reality. Nevertheless, the concerns of creators are real, as they are often the ones who feel the effects of such changes most directly.
