Dream monitor for e-sports – LG presents a 540 Hz OLED with 4,000 nits in HDR!

Calendar 8/13/2025

LG OLED Primary RGB Tandem 540Hz – a top-tier gaming monitor with 720Hz mode and 4,000-nit HDR brightness. Perfect for eSports players.

LG Display is revealing its cards. Later this year, we will see the first monitors based on their new 27-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 540 Hz and a resolution of 1440p. If that's not enough for someone – in Dual Mode, it can go down to 720p and push the refresh rate up to 720 Hz. This solution is tailored for esports, where every millisecond and every pixel matters.

Latest Generation Primary RGB Tandem OLED

The new screen uses the 4th generation Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology, offering peak brightness of 1,500 nits, and in HDR – even up to 4,000 nits (most likely on 3% of the panel surface). Coverage of 99.5% DCI-P3 places it among the top OLED monitors and makes it suitable for professional color work, e.g., in film or graphics.

Anti-glare that actually works

LG boasts a new anti-reflective coating that blocks 99% of light reflections – both external and internal. The result? Perfect image even at an ambient brightness of 500 lux, which is in full daylight. The panel has received Perfect Black, Perfect Colour, and 100% Colour Fidelity certifications from Intertek and UL Solutions.

Price and availability – equipment only for the chosen ones

We still have to wait for the premiere and specific prices, but everything indicates that it will be a top-tier option. The first models will be introduced to the market by companies such as Gigabyte and the Chinese Super Display Company. If you're counting on a cheap monitor – this is not that league, but if you want absolute top quality for e-sports, this could be your new number one.
