DJI Osmo Pocket 4 aims at night recordings and dynamic shots – small equipment, big upgrade

Calendar 4/19/2026

DJI presented the DJI Osmo Pocket 4, and it's immediately clear that this is not just a small upgrade. The new version of this pocket camera has been designed with more demanding users in mind, especially those who record in challenging conditions.

Larger sensor and better night recordings

The biggest change is the use of a 1-inch CMOS sensor, which significantly improves image quality in low light. Combined with a bright f/2.0 lens, this provides better details, less noise, and more natural colors, especially at night or in high-contrast scenes. DJI also adds up to 14 stops of dynamic range and a 10-bit D-Log profile, which offers greater possibilities for video editing.

The new Pocket 4 can record in 4K at 240 frames per second, opening the door to very impressive slow-motion shots. This was something that was previously reserved for larger and more expensive cameras. Additionally, there is now zoom (1x, 2x lossless, and up to 4x), which increases flexibility when recording in the field.

Stabilization and Intelligent Tracking

As befits the Osmo series, the camera features 3-axis stabilization, which smooths out shots even while walking. Additionally, it includes AI features such as ActiveTrack 7.0, automatic framing, and object tracking. Because of this, even individuals with little experience can achieve very professional-looking recordings. DJI has also improved everyday usability. The camera has built-in storage (107 GB), fast data transfer, and very fast charging to 80% in about 18 minutes. There are also new physical controls and simplified operation, making the equipment ready to record almost immediately.

DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is a small camera with a big leap in quality, especially for creators who want better image quality without carrying large equipment.
